POSITION SPECIFICATION
Define the typical knowledge and experience required for the position. Include technical or specialized knowledge
and experience, supervisory or managerial skills and experience, human relations skills and any
professional qualifications/certifications required.
Formal Education/Qualifications Required:
• BS in Electrical engineering or Instruments Engineering.
Level & Type of Knowledge, Experience & Skills Required:
Function Specific:
• 5 years of Experience in chemical/petrochemical/fertilizers manufacturing industries
• Knowledge or various equipment and machinery used in chemical industries
• Mechanical Aptitude – use of precision measurement tools and assembly techniques
• Understanding of Chemistry and Physics
• Knowledge or various instrument equipment/ instruments controls and pneumatic devices.
• Working knowledge of chemical/industrial equipment function, design, and regulatory requirements and Plant shutdowns.
• Understanding of the National electrical/ mechanical Codes.
• Experience with DCS, PLC, Process Analysers, Industrial Burners, and product packaging Systems
• ISO System and Procedures knowledge.
• Functionality with various computer programs, specifically Microsoft Office Suite and SAP
Business/Industry Specific:
• Familiar working within a manufacturing environment preferred
• Familiar within the Chemical sector or related industry preferred
