VP, Strategic Account Sales
Job Description
Reporting to the VP/GM of DIMG Publishing the VP Strategic Account Sales will lead the organization’s digital publishing sales group. This group will focus on the digital strategy, new account development, slate development, business models, launch tactics, and channel development for mobile platforms, digital platforms, and emerging opportunities. Additionally, the VP/GM, Digital Publishing will be responsible for contributing to the growth of DIMG revenue by identifying market trends, relevant business model, developing new digital-related services, products, and capabilities.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Design and articulate a vision for the digital publishing sales team with a focus on market offerings that align with DIMG quality standards and Disney heritage.

· Establish strategic and operational plans for digital distribution of existing content from DIMG and The Walt Disney Company.

· Lead the recruitment effort for the best talent in each functional area.

· Build, lead, and motivate an extended sales team encompassing all aspects of digital publishing. Including, bundling, account management, distribution, promotions, pricing, and market intelligence.

· Demonstrated experience with iOS, and Android mobile platforms.

· Establish and maintain online sales channels for digital distribution and mobile businesses. Including; Apple, ATT, Verizon, Steam, Direct to Drive, Digital River, Games for Windows, On Live, and other emerging partners.

· Participate in creation of game slate in accordance with demographic needs and market place trends.

· Keep abreast of current industry trends and analyze market shifts to gain maximum market share.

· Develop a nimble team that can evolve to capitalize on untapped or emerging trends.

· Seek and drive new business and market opportunities (e.g. technologies, properties, transactions, acquisitions, or partnerships) while maximizing existing Disney properties

· Develop and support the synergy of Disney properties across various TWDC business units; DCP, TWDC Studio, Hollywood Records, Parks and other partners.

· Cultivate and nurture the spirit of creativity and innovation across the organization.

· Develop strategic launch promotions to maximum consumer awareness and purchase intent.

· Articulate the long-term strategic goals for the group including leading the annual operating plan and five-year strategic planning process.

· Ensure the department adheres to budget and financial targets throughout the fiscal year.

EDUCATION:

· BA required; MBA a plus


REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

· Minimum 10 years of games industry experience.

· Minimum 5 years of experience working in mobile, casual, and/or digital distribution partners.

· Minimum 5 years of experience managing at least two of the following disciplines directly or indirectly in the digital arena: product/brand retail marketing, product planning, sales/sales operations, or product strategy

·

· Experience managing midsized organization, with demanding performance requirements

· Proven ability to influence multiple stakeholders in a sophisticated business environment

· Proven executive level management and supervisory skills

· Ability to identify strategic goals and opportunities

· High-level finance and strategic planning capability

· Demonstrated understanding of technology and ability to identify related issues

· Proven ability to influence and inspire creative professionals to a consistent high level of performance and execution

· Strong sense of professional integrity

· Deep passion and knowledge for product trends

· Demonstrated ability to work effectively with executives in various organizational functions (marketing, finance, business development, production, operations, etc.)

· Advanced written and verbal communications skills, including presentation skills

· Demonstrated ability to manage teams through organizational change.
